What You Will Need:
Dripp Gripp Sheets
Alcohol Wipes (Included)
Pen
Scissors
Heat Gun
Easy Instructions
Trace each shoe on white side of separate Dripp Gripp sheets and carefully cut out the shape leaving an extra 1/8 inch on all sides
Remove white backing and place adhesive side of Dripp Gripp onto cleaned, dried and alcohol prepped soles of the shoes leaving an equal amount of extra material off all sides. Make sure you keep the left shoe with the left sheet and the right shoe with the right sheet
Carefully, run heat gun or hair dryer 4-6 inches from the shoe back and forth over Dripp Gripp sheet (Heat guns are HOT! If using a heat gun NEVER point it at your skin or anything other than your Dripp Gripp material. Keep the heat gun moving to avoid prolonged heating)
Use fingers to mold Dripp Gripp around the shape of the shoe sole, beginning in the middle and working your way out. Add more heat when necessary
Allow extra 1/8 inch to run slightly up the side of the outsole
* See In-Depth Instructions Below for Even More Specific Step-by-step Process
In Depth Instructions:
1. Make sure the bottoms of your shoes have been cleaned and dried (if they are deadstock - skip cleaning step)
2. Use alcohol wipe to prep the bottom of the left shoe and about 1/8 inch up the side of the rubber out sole and let it dry
3. Place sole protector material sheet with the white side up on a flat surface
4. Place the left shoe on the material and trace the outline with a pen
5. When cutting out the shape with scissors, carefully cut approximately 1/8 inch extra outside the traced shape of the shoe (this leaves enough material for the sole protector to go up the side of the shoe just a bit)
6. Turn the left shoe upside down
7. Peel the white paper off the Dripp Gripp sheet (IMPORTANT: Do NOT let the adhesive touch anything but the bottom of the shoes)
8. Place the adhesive side down on the sole of the shoe with equal amount of material hanging off all sides of the shoe (front, back, and both sides)
9. Turn the shoe upright and set it on your flat surface
10. Plug in your hair dryer or heat gun (IMPORTANT: Heat guns are HOT! NEVER point the heat gun at your skin or anything other than your Dripp Gripp material. Keep the heat gun moving to avoid prolonged heating)
11. Pick up the left shoe and turn it upside down with the sole protector facing you
12. Holding the hair dryer or heat gun 4-6 inches away from the shoe, start in the middle slowly moving it back and forth over the Dripp Gripp sheet for approximately 10 seconds
13. Set the hair dryer or heat gun down carefully, and use your fingers to press the sole protector material to the curves of the bottom of the shoe in the middle avoiding the edges for now (The material will form to the shape of the bottom of the shoe)
14. Once you have the middle of the Dripp Gripp material formed to the sole of the shoe, use the hair dryer or heat gun, again staying 4-6 inches away, to form the edges
15. As the edges heat up, apply pressure with your fingers to form the material up around the side of the shoe
16. Follow this process until the sole protector is completely adhered to the sole of your shoe
17. Repeat steps 2 through 16 for the right shoe
18. Allow the shoes to cool down and inspect the edges and bottom to ensure proper adhesion- repeat steps 11-16 on either shoe as necessary
